The pond and wild area

Our pond had deteriorated over six or seven years and we have just made a great effort to improve this area. Staff and pupils with wonderful support from Huddersfield Technical College Agriculture students have achieved these results so far.

They have drained, lined and filled the pond, cut back overgrown shrubbery and built gravel pathways and steps.

We hope that the students will return in the summer to add seating to make this a useful working area for children to do Art and Science tasks.
